Why the Catalytic Converter? The platinum coated catalytic burner works with a thermal efficiency of over 99%. It produces CO2 enriched air that is ideal for the greenhouse. With atmospheric burners, combustion is not quite so complete as with catalytic converters. Because they draw in the greenhouse air that has bad waste gases added to it, if there is incomplete combustion then toxic carbon monoxide (CO) is easily produced. This risk is eliminated with the catalytic burner.
