Many years of development and testing went into the Bioforce pond filter. It is a closed, pressure system holding more bacteria than a similar size normal filter. It is small enough to completely hide near the pond when it is buried up to its lid. Being pressurised by the pond pump, water can be pumped up from the Bioforce filter to the top of a waterfall. This makes it even easier to hide. The Bioforce is ideal for pond keepers who want simplicity, clear water and an attractive hidden filter system.

Mechanical Filtration
Biological Filtration
We have improved biological filtration by adding Kaldnes K3 biomedia exclusive to Hozelock Cyprio filter systems. Kaldnes is scientifically proven and in widespread use in industrial water purification process. As a result, it has vastly superior biological capacity compared to other biomedia used in pond filtration.
When using the new backflush facility, water flow through the Kaldnes biomedia removes loose debris and old less active bacteria, stimulating bacterial activity as a result.
UVC - for the efficient removal of green water
We only use maximum efficiency quartz sleeves in our UVC system, which allow 87% UV efficiency for treating algae, compared to 30% and 50% for glass and plastic respectively.
High efficiency single ended UV lamps and an in built water turbulator ensure maximum water treatment and the elimination of green water.
Bayonet fitting of the UVC lamp allows quick cleaning and lamp change as required.
Bioforce is now equipped with a specially designed indicator so that the user can safely see if the UV lamp is switched on and functioning.
Easy Cleaning
The range now has an Easy Clean backflush facility for flushing debris out of the filter thereby extending the time between thorough foam cleaning. This is also aided by the use of new flow through coarse foams, which efficiently remove waste particles whilst also reducing cleaning frequency
How to install a Bioforce Pond Filter:
Bury the Bioforce up to its lid next to the pond. It is best to use a Titan solids handling pump which moves solids from the pond to the Bioforce where they can be easily flushed away. Pond water is pumped up to the Bioforce which is buried up to its lid to hide it. Water from the Bioforce filter can either be passed straight back into the pond or up to the top of a waterfall. A waterfall will increase aeration.

"I first dealt with your Company in September 2007 when I bought a Hozelock Bioforce 8000uvc Filter which was delivered the next day.
In October I needed some advice on connecting the filter to my power supply and spoke with a very polite, knowledgeable and patient gentleman over the telephone resulting in my obtaining a weatherproof connector from you the following day.
Yesterday, I telephoned you to advise that the 11 watt uv bulb in my filter needed replacing after only two months use and first thing this morning I received, free of charge, a replacement from you.
It is so nice to receive such excellent service these days and I would be grateful if you could pass my sincere thanks on to your staff.
You can rest assured that you will be my first contact in the future when I require any products that you supply."
