Strawberry Tub

Victorian style strawberry tub in a decorative terracotta finish. Made from frost resistant polypropylene for long life. Approx. 60cm high by 43cm diameter. Easy to assemble. It is now possible to grow an amazing crop of delicious strawberries on your patio or balcony. The tub comfortably hold 32 plants, 24 in cups, and 8 on the top. Once planted will produce pounds of fruit - year after year. Follow the instructions provided and you should be able to grow a bumper crop. We suggest a permanent site in a sheltered, but sunny position. The tub will hold 80 litres of compost. Fill the bottom of the tub with compost up to the first level of holes and carefully push the plant foliage through the holes from the inside, positioning the roots so that the crown of the plant is just above soil level. Repeat this process with each hole, firming down the compost well, until you reach the top and the compost level is approx. 1" from the rim. Contains a unique watering tube in the centre to ensure each individual strawberry plant stays moist. Eight plants can be planted in the top surface of the compost - one at each corner, firm down well. Use the net supplied to keep the birds away from your ripening fruit. All you need is one giant bag of good general purpose compost, 32 strawberry plants and a little patience, to produce an attractive display on your patio and a bumper crop of strawberries year after year.
