Underground irrigation system

  1. Close the mains or supply tap.
  2. Activate the timer or control unit in manual for a few minutes for each valve, this will help to elimate any water left inside
  3. Remove any tap timers, control units from their current position, allow them tofull drain, from both the inlet and outlets. Please also remove the batteries toavoid oxidization.
  4. Once fully dry, store in a cool dry place, where the temperature wont drop below 4°C.
  5. If you have solenoid valves are in box underground, protect them from frost by covering them with insulating materials.
  6. Wash away the residues or debris which may be in the filters of both timers and sprinklers.
  7. If there is a centrifugal surface pump dedicated to the system, empty it by removing the appropriate cap. For submersible pumps no special precautions are needed, apart from turning off the switch.

Warning!

When setting up your irrigation system at the start of the season. There will be occasions when the daytime temperature is warm but may drop below 4°C during the night. This is the period when timers, valves and controllers are at most risk from frost damage. We recommend that if the irrigation system is required, you properly insulate your device.
